Pharion

Frequently asked questions

What does Pharion actually do?
Pharion turns portfolio-company reporting (Excel, CSV, board decks) into live KPI dashboards, fund-level returns, AI commentary and board-ready exports. One system, from spreadsheet to boardroom.
How does my data get in?
Upload Excel or CSV files, or paste straight from a spreadsheet. You map columns to KPIs once and Pharion remembers the mapping every quarter after that, with AI-assisted extraction suggesting the mapping for you.
How long does onboarding take?
There is no migration project. You add your companies and drop in the spreadsheets you already have, including past quarters, so you start with trend lines rather than an empty dashboard. The first dashboards are live the same day.
Is our data kept separate from other firms?
Yes. Every workspace is isolated per tenant, with per-company encrypted keys, Microsoft single sign-on and a full audit log. The security overview page walks through the controls in detail.
Which AI model reads our numbers?
You bring your own Azure OpenAI key, so analysis runs inside your own Azure tenant. Your portfolio data is never used to train anyone’s models.
What fund metrics does it compute?
Net IRR, TVPI, MOIC, DPI and RVPI, computed from a real fund ledger, plus a value-creation bridge that walks from invested capital to current value. They are the same figures your LP reporting leans on.
Can it build our board pack?
Yes. Exports produce a PDF board pack with the returns strip, key points, core KPIs and a per-company portfolio snapshot, ready to drop into a board meeting. Every number in the pack traces back to the source it came from.
How is this different from a spreadsheet?
Spreadsheets go stale the day after the board meeting. Pharion keeps one living source of truth: intake is remembered, KPIs recalculate, initiatives track against reported numbers, and exports regenerate on demand.
What does it cost?
Pricing is being finalized with early design partners. Request a demo and we’ll talk through where your fund fits.
